JTA’s qualified and experienced Ergonomists are skilled in observing work spaces and work practices. They will conduct ergonomic assessments across your workplace and provide practical, customised recommendations and training to reduce discomfort, workplace injuries and musculoskeletal disorders.
Ergonomic problems can be found in the design of tasks, manual handling, workstation layout and production lines. JTA’s skilled Ergonomists will come to your workplace and conduct a thorough review, talk to staff about their work needs and provide a clear set of recommendations that are tailored to suit your business and minimize the risk of injury. SafeWork Australia believes that good work design is the most effective process for eliminating hazards, incorporating effective risk control measures and designing-in efficiencies.
The Australian Work Health and Safety Strategy 2012–2022 has set three national targets to be achieved by 2022. They are based on reductions of worker fatalities due to injury, claims resulting in one or more weeks off work and claims for musculoskeletal disorders resulting in one or more weeks off work. In order to achieve these targets, you need to consider effective work design in your workplace. A failure to do so could result in a breach of the WHS and OHS legislation.
